OAH represents the UK animal medicine industry whose aim is to provide safe, effective, quality medicines for the treatment and welfare of all animals.
Animals are good for people in so many ways. At this special reception you have the chance to find out more about our hero animals – and those that own them and work with them. You will also have the chance to meet the organisations behind them, that make these special relationships between animals and people happen..
The event focuses on the tireless work of assistance, rescue and other working dogs who perform necessary and vital human life-enhancing roles. At the event we call for the value of animals in our society to be recognised and the need to look after them responsibly never to be forgotten.
These marvellous animals need to be in the best of health to do their jobs. They need to be fit and free from disease. And we must not forget the benefits that our unsung hero pets back at home bring us—dogs, cats, rabbits, fish. They all deserve our very best care and to be kept in the best possible health.
NOAH members, as part of the animal medicines industry, are proud to support the veterinary profession and other pet care specialists with the modern medicines to help keep the UK’s animals healthy.
NOAH’s Pet Health Information website features a wealth of animal health information and advice to help owners and potential owners to make informed decisions about their pet's healthcare. With a wide range of topics including information on buying a pet, health guides, travelling abroad with your pet and first aid, the site features information on a range of species from dogs through to fish.
The Pet Health Information website is a National Office of Animal Health (NOAH) initiative to help raise awareness of safe, effective and preventative healthcare for pets.
Many vet practices see the site as a trusted back up for their clients, and it receives over 7000 visits a month. Completely unbranded, it does not aim to help owners make their own diagnoses, but encourages them to talk to veterinary surgeons and other pet care specialists.
