The Associate Parliamentary Group for Animal Welfare

T

his event has been coordinated with the assistance of the Associate Parliamentary Group for Animal Welfare (APGAW). APGAW is a long-standing cross-party Parliamentary Group made up of more than 100 MPs, Lords and associate animal welfare organisations.

It aims to promote and further the cause of animal welfare by all means available to the Parliaments at Westminster and in Europe.

The core activity of APGAW is its regular monthly meetings at which the Group hears from a wide range of speakers on many different animal welfare issues. The idea of these meetings is to keep members informed about the big animal welfare issues of the day. They also provide an opportunity for those with a common interest in animal welfare to meet and debate their views.
