he Animal Health Trust is the only charitable organisation in the UK that investigates full time the cure, prevention and treatment of disease and injury in horses, dogs, and cats. Through our investigations and clinical practice we are able to improve the health, care and welfare of all companion animals and alleviate unnecessary suffering.
For
example, we develop vaccines against disease and provide specialist treatment of
conditions such as cancer and blindness. Under our Royal Charter granted by HM
The Queen, our Patron, we are charged with and dedicated to advancing the theory
and practice of veterinary medicine. We freely disseminate our findings to
veterinary practitioners and animal devotees worldwide so that they may use this
information for the benefit of animals.
As a charity, we rely on donations and bequests to continue our work.
